Congratulations to Fairfield Mortgage, April 2010 Small Business of the Month

First I want to say thank you: I am so honored to receive this award from the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.

Fairfield Mortgage is part of the Shelter Mortgage/ Guaranty Bank family of companies which has been in business since 1923 helping people realize their dreams of home ownership. Richard Sissom is the President of Fairfield Mortgage which was established in 1993 and I joined the company in the fall of 2004. We are a lender not a broker which means your loan process is much smoother. I have been in the mortgage business for over 12 years and have loved every minute of it.

I am originally from Atlanta and graduated from Dunwoody High School and West Georgia College. I was raised in a real estate family with my father, Don Lacy, having his own real estate company for many years as well as being president of Georgia Multiple Listing Service for 20 years. As a matter of fact Richard Sissom used to call on my dad for his mortgage business many years ago.

I am married to Scott Grieve and we currently live in Suwanee with our two children Lacy and Michael.  Lacy is a freshmen at University of Georgia and in the honors program studying finance and music. She is enjoying college so much and has just come back from her 4th mission trip.  Michael is a freshman at Buford High School and is a great student and athlete playing both baseball and football. He also plays guitar and sings in our youth praise band at Mckendree United Methodist Church. 

I am currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Mckendree UMC and stay involved in many volunteer opportunities at the church.  I belong to the North Georgia Business Connection, Norcross Business Association, Suwanee Business Alliance, Buford Business Association, IBAL and of course I love the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce which keeps me in touch with my community.

I have worked in Property Management, Hotel Sales and Magazine Advertising sales but now my true passion lies in the mortgage business. I truly love helping my clients make smart decisions for their financial future. Whether purchasing or refinancing I want to make the loan process an enjoyable stress free experience while educating my clients about their mortgage.  The mortgage business has been through so many changes the last few years, but I take pride in being stable, consistent and available for all my past, present and future clients.  My goal is to operate my business with integrity, honesty, respect and professionalism while building lifelong financial relationships with all my clients and Real Estate professionals.

I treasure the relationships I have made at the Chamber of Commerce and look forward to building even more.
