A brief review of my sales and marketing background:
- 51 years in retail sales, marketing, advertising, and graphic arts; starting at age 11 in my father’s very successful printing business.
- Degree in Business Management and Finance.
- 27 years in retail management, marketing, and advertising:
- 9 years at Target Stores as Divisional Merchandise Manager;
- 13 years as Vice President of 3 other Fortune 500 retailers (Cook United, Sherwin Williams, and Roses Stores),
- 5 years as President of a chain of 32 Sports Town stores, headquartered in Atlanta.
- 12 years as founder and owner of The Sign Stop.
Why I am a Chamber Ambassador:
We joined the Chamber so that we could give something back to the community and because we wanted to see if this “networking thing” could work for us. And, we have been very gratified that we have had success in both of those areas of interest.Not only have we met many great people and been able to help them through my work as an Ambassador, but, we have also added enough business to our annual sales to account for an additional month’s volume each year!
