Gwinnett Hospital System (GHS) is a 500-bed, not-for-profit healthcare network including three hospitals and other support facilities, more than 4,000 employees and 700 affiliated physicians.

Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC), the system’s flagship hospital, provides inpatient, outpatient and 24-hour emergency and Level II trauma care. A full array of medical specialty services are available including a Center for Orthopedics, Center for Neuroscience, Chest Pain Center, Center for Sleep Disorders and Pain Management Center.

The GMC campus is also the site of Gwinnett DaySurgery, Gwinnett Women’s Pavilion, Gwinnett Extended Care Center and Gwinnett SportsRehab. Gwinnett Women’s Pavilion offers a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a High Risk Pregnancy Unit, as well as comprehensive breast health services and digital mammography.

In 2006, Gwinnett Medical Center received the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence, ranking in the top five percent in the nation for clinical quality.

GHS is the first and only healthcare system in Georgia to have a fully accredited continuum of acute stroke care. Glancy Rehabilitation Center, a critical part of the stroke care program, offers both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for people suffering from orthopedic or neurological problems. The facility is CARF-accredited and designated as a Stroke Specialty Program.

In Duluth, the 60-bed Joan Glancy Memorial Hospital provided acute and emergency care to patients for more than 60 years. In October 2006, Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth opened on Howell Ferry Road as a replacement hospital for Joan Glancy. The new all-digital hospital has 81 beds with expanded services and a new Center for Orthopedics.

The Outpatient Center at GMC-Duluth offers outpatient diagnostic and surgical services, as well as the Center for Gastrointestinal & Pulmonary Endoscopy.
SummitRidge Center for Psychiatry & Addiction Medicine in Lawrenceville offers inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization services for adults and adolescents, with a special program for geriatric patients.
