The goals of the council are to:

Create an inclusive community where all entrepreneurs have the opportunity and desire to successfully grow their companies.

  1. Provide ongoing support and continuity to ensure long-term results through relevant and engaging environments.
  2. Align and promote the resources of the region’s economic development, business assistance, entrepreneurial and higher education organizations to meet the needs of new and existing high-growth companies.

Learn
The Council for Entrepreneurship presents intimate monthly workshops at no cost to members featuring national experts from our relationships with our Strategic Partners. These professional, practical and thought-provoking presentations in unique, interactive environments are the perfect “continuing education” opportunities for today’s busy entrepreneur.

Connect and Apply
In addition to the workshops, its Executive Roundtables helps entrepreneurs confidentially connect with peers in noncompetitive businesses to apply what has been learned and each other’s own experiences as they journey that often lonely road at the top together. Its Meet the Purchasers and Diversity Supplier Forums will place you face to face with the purchasing decision-makers at large corporations and governmental agencies.

Share
This web site will serve as a portal for the best tips, advice and practices for entrepreneurs and small businesses. White papers, blogs, and podcasts will be regularly added. Upcoming events and workshops that will help grow your business will be listed. Resources and programs from local, state and federal government will be shared. Even books and other media that have been recommended by fellow entrepreneurs will be available.

Workshops
The Council for Entrepreneurship offers monthly half-day workshops designed to provide relevant information that will address the challenges facing entrepreneurs and small business owners today. The workshops feature local and national experts thanks to our relationships with our Strategic Partners and Benefactors.

The workshops focus on the following key tracks: Leadership, Sales and Marketing, Fundamentals, technology and Finance and Capital. Each track features three back-to-back workshops and each workshop is designed for the four stages of business growth: Start Up and Solopreneurs (1 to 5 employees); Early Growth (6 to 20 employees); Advanced Growth (21 to 49 employees); and Mature Growth (50 – 250 employees).

All workshops are held in the John D. Stephens Education Room at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce on the last Wednesday of each month from 7:30-9:30 am.
