Nick Masino presents Gwinnett economic opportunities to 30 businesses in Wuxi, China, and announces Gwinnett’s first economic development office abroad


Nick Masino, VP of Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett for the Gwinnett Chamber, and Jin Mengan, Vice Chairman for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Wuxi Branch, sign cooperation agreement for first-ever Gwinnett International economic development office in Wuxi, China.


Wuxi, China, January 18, 2010 – At the Wuxi-Gwinnett Economic and Trade Cooperation (WGETC) Promotion held on January 18, 2010 in Wuxi, China, Gwinnett Chamber economic development presented its business opportunities to over 30 companies and announced the location of its first international office to be stationed in the modern Chinese city of six-million people. The office will serve as a launch pad for Gwinnett businesses expanding into China and is symbolic of Gwinnett’s commitment to strong global business relations with China and the city of Wuxi.

Nick Masino, VP of economic development and Partnership Gwinnett for the Gwinnett Chamber said, “Gwinnett is honored to make its first international business location in China and particularly the city of Wuxi. Both Wuxi and Gwinnett are very similar in history and vision, making the location a perfect fit for our goals and objectives in global business development.”

Both the cooperation promotion and the office announcement were held in Wuxi as the Chamber’s economic development team conducted its pre-trip for the upcoming inaugural Gwinnett Global Business Mission to China in April. The upcoming trip, open to any and all business professionals seeking global connections and opportunities, will involve business networking, meetings and trade talks in some of China’s most economically renowned cities. From China’s acclaimed largest city, Shanghai, to its fastest growing economic center and the current site of Gwinnett’s first international business office, Wuxi, this trip will reemphasize the foundations laid with the opening of the Wuxi-Gwinnett Office today.
