I am the President and CEO of SmarterIdeas Inc. and co-founder and acting President and COO of the International Business Academies Limited. I have enjoyed serving the small business owners and entrepreneurs as a consultant, trainer and advisor for 28 years. Many small businesses are undercapitalized, under managed and often lack the necessary leadership skills to adapt. Through my work over the years I have developed a unique talent for connecting my business associates and clients with the right skills, people and resources that can help them grow personally and professionally. Through our programs and peer groups our clients and members feel our support and see a tremendous results and growth in themselves and their business.
I am a wife and mother to 6 children and currently have 13 grandchildren and two more scheduled to arrive early in the spring and summer of next year. My personal passion is education and children. For the past 2 years I have been an active volunteer advisor to DECA, an association of marketing students and was recently invited to serve on the board for the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children.
Why I am a Chamber Ambassador:
Having served as an ambassador since joining in 2002 has been such an honor and a privilege for me. Serving in this capacity has allowed me the ability to give back and provide support to the new members and visitors that come to the chamber for the first time. The most significant thing we can do in life is to find ways to add value to others. In doing this you find the rewards are greater than you could ever imagine. The friendships and business relationships I have gained over years have been so rewarding and personally fulfilling. I believe that in order to grow in a healthy and productive way we need roots and they need to grow deep and strong. There is no better place to start than within your local community. When you deposit value you receive more than you could ever imagine in return.
