"We are thrilled to be recognized as The Small Business of the Month," says Melanie Morgan, owner of Maverick Marketing Design, Inc. This Duluth based marketing firm has been operating in Gwinnett for over 13 years. "Only the Gwinnett Chamber would take the time to encourage the hard working small businesses and reward their quest for excellence."

Maverick serves the business community with a full array of marketing services that develop and coordinate a company's branding message across all of their marketing efforts.

"A company's brand image has real value in the market place," says Philip Morgan, co-owner. "We work to create our clients' marketing messages and position them at the level they need to stay competitive and succeed. We do this with the tools of graphic design, writing copy, photography and videography.

Melanie and Philip met while attending the University of Georgia and have worked in marketing and commercial art for over 25 years each. Melanie managed a market research company as Accounts and Operations Manager and served many Fortune 500 companies. Philip worked as a commercial artist for a packaging graphics agency, the largest commercial photography studio in Georgia and in the in-house agency for Peachtree Windows and Doors before founding Maverick.

Maverick has worked with companies of all sizes including Coca-Cola and BellSouth International and many medium and small companies. "Our passion is creating marketing that makes a real difference in our clients' businesses. Whether it's creating a strategy, a brochure, a website, or photographing a client's facility, we want to do the best work possible because we know that marketing is the mechanism that brings sales to a company," said Melanie.

Create Magazine just featured Maverick for their expertise in branding and identity. Their work has recently appeared in Unique Homes Magazine, FOCUS Magazine, The Gwinnett Business Journal, Leatherneck Magazine, and Accent Gwinnett, among others. In the last year they have redesigned the Frostie Root Beer line, designed the Gwinnett Village CID website, and created the logo for the City of Lilburn's Downtown Development Authority.

This growing company's boundless enthusiasm for the growth of Gwinnett is contagious as they encourage everyone to realize that there is no recession in Gwinnett.
