Craig Hudson is the Senior Director of Customer Services for Merial—Gwinnett’s World-leading Animal Health Company

Merial is a world-leading, innovation-driven animal health company, providing a comprehensive range of products to enhance the health, well-being and performance of a wide range of animals.

Many Merial products are considered gold standards in their categories. Both FRONTLINE® and HEARTGARD®(ivermectin) brand products are the #1 recommendations of veterinarians, and IVOMEC® (ivermectin) brand products have been used for more than two decades by cattle ranchers, beef and dairy producers, and veterinarians. The company works with governments around the globe to contain and manage various animal diseases, recognizing that the prevention and treatment of animal diseases helps protect the health of both animals and people.

A joint venture between Merck & Co., Inc. and sanofi-aventis, Merial employs approximately 5,000 people worldwide and operates in more than 150 countries. The company’s U.S. headquarters is located in Gwinnett County.

Merial has a genuine interest in the economic development and continued success of Gwinnett County.  As an active member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Club, Merial supports the community through events such as the Gwinnett American Heart Walk, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and Gwinnett Great Days of Service.  Merial is also a proud sponsor of Partnership Gwinnett and the United Way in Gwinnett.

In addition to supporting local causes, Merial sponsors Paws to Save Pets™, which was originally created as Race to Save Pets to help the thousands of animals that were injured and abandoned in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.  Paws to Save Pets™ is now operated as an ongoing, proactive campaign that benefits the Petfinder.com Foundation and the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF).  Those organizations use money from the Paws to Save Pets™ campaign to respond to emergencies, purchase vital equipment, support animal shelters and veterinary medical assistance teams in disaster areas, and provide public education on disaster preparedness.  Paws to Save Pets™ has raised $2 million since 2005.
