Snellville

Snellville was founded by two Englishmen who helped build the town (and their fortunes) through business. Around 19,238 residents value its personal charm, holding to their motto of “Snellville, where everybody is somebody.” Chartered in 1923, the city continues to grow through numerous neighborhoods and a strong business community that expresses civic pride through its fairs and festivals, including the Fall Festival and Hayride, Egg-Stravaganza and the annual Snellville Days. Most recently, Snellville proudly celebrated before local and national media when its own Diana DeGarmo placed second in the 2004 American Idol talent search.
