An Upscale Lifestyle Center

Victoria Kim, real estate developer for the Paragon at Satellite, expects the development to be a landmark for Gwinnett that can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Located near the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement district, just past the former Harry’s Farmer’s Market on Satellite Boulevard, between Pleasant Hill Drive and Beaver Ruin Road, you will see a new commercial development project being developed by the successful Korean-American entrepreneur Victoria Kim. The Paragon at Satellite, a 26-acre development with 300,000 square feet of retail and office space, a driving range, bowling center, a Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, and shared access to a future Gwinnett County passive park, is not your typical retail development, but rather what Kim refers to as a “Luxury Lifestyle Retail Resort.”

Kim originally envisioned the development to be a retail-resort that would become a landmark for Gwinnett. “I love Gwinnett and I wanted to preserve and, if possible, improve the quality of the area. I could have developed the property much more quickly with much less money, but instead I wanted to provide the community with something that can be enjoyed for many generations to come.”

Beyond providing an aesthetically pleasing retail development for the community, Kim really had her children in mind when developing the project.

Among the upscale tenants that will occupy much of the space, the French chateau-inspired development will include a state-of-art, covered golf driving range, specialty restaurants, and Class “A” professional office space. In addition, the lifestyle center will have entertainment outlets unique to everyone, including a game center with cutting-edge arcade and video games and a 50,000 square foot bowling center. The Paragon’s meticulous details, on which Kim insisted, include a beautiful water fountain, wide sidewalks and premium landscaping to complement the upcoming natural habitat Beaver Ruin Park.

Kim is very much aware of the goals of Partnership Gwinnett and the Gwinnett Village CID and feels that this project is perfectly aligned with what the two organizations are working to accomplish.

“I wanted the Paragon to match what Partnership Gwinnett and the Gwinnett Village CID are striving towards,” said Kim. “I believe the community will see that in the Paragon. It is a community-friendly concept where people can live, work and play.”

“In fact,” continued Kim, “the Paragon at Satellite is the first initiative in this particular area, aligned with Partnership Gwinnett, that will be seen to completion in an effort to make a new Gwinnett.”

Driving Kim’s success, in life and in business, is her ability to always challenge herself. “The times are tough right now for a lot of businesses and individuals, but this is the time to challenge yourself. Never be afraid of a challenge.”
