Waste Management

Please contact your city hall for solid waste collection if you live within the city limits. The number may be found in the Numbers to Know section of this publication.


Residents of unincorporated Gwinnett County may select a company from a list of approved solid waste collection companies available from Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful’s information line (770-822-5186) or its Web site, www.gwinnettcb.org.


There are several private landfills for both solid waste and yard waste, as well as convenient drop off locations for many recyclable items. Contact Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful (770-822-5187 or www.gwinnettcb.org) for information.License to DriveNew residents must obtain a Georgia driver's license within 30 days of establishing a permanent residence. All other licenses must be surrendered prior to issuance of a Georgia license. Persons 18 or older who surrender a valid out-of-state license must pass an eye examination. Applicants who are under 18, or who surrender an expired out-of-state license, must pass the eye examination, road rules test, road signs test and a driving test.
