Berean Christian Church’s mission is to minister, and Witness, to its congregation, community, city, county, country, and other continents. In 1995, Dr. Kerwin B. Lee, Founder and Overseer, had a vision to start a church, the first worship service being held in Decatur. Dr. Lee continues to lead the church as Senior Pastor. Today, Berean Christian Church is one church in three counties – DeKalb, Gwinnett and Henry.

Some of their many altruistic activities include:

  • Quarterly career/job fairs
  • Community health fairs and blood drives
  • Summer lunch program for students at risk (includes delivery & crafts)
  • Angel Tree Christmas program (for children of incarcerated parents)
  • Nursing Home visitations
  • Voter Registration
  • GriefShare Small Groups for the community
  • Hallelujah Night (safe alternative to Trick or Treat at Halloween)
  • Soles for Souls (Shoe drive to benefit families in Africa)
  • Back to School backpack giveaway
  • Back to School Prayer @ the Poles (all middle & high schools in Gwinnett)
