Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, also commonly referred to as GBT, was founded in 1977 and is the oldest non-profit performing arts organization in Gwinnett County. GBT’s home is a 20,000 square foot facility with 5 state-of-the-art studios located at the convergence of Sugarloaf Parkway and 316. GBT’s mission is to educate and empower young artists by providing the highest quality dance instruction, performance experience, community collaboration and outreach. Gwinnett Ballet Theatre is always proud to present their annual Nutcracker which is the second-largest in the state of Georgia and GBT is proud to have been the home to students who have gone on to become members of companies such as Houston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, National Ballet of Spain, Ballet Arizona, Post: Ballet, and Ballet Maryland. As a non-profit education and performance organization, all of our tuition and fund raising efforts support enhancing education and performance opportunities for our students.
