Founded in 1990, the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services’ vision is to sustain a united community of healthy, drug-free, self-sufficient individuals and families which honors diversity and supports all members’ success in learning, work and life. The mission of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services is to be a public/private partnership that facilitates collaboration to improve the well-being of our community. In 1997, the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners passed a resolution naming the Coalition as the County’s official planning organization for Gwinnett’s children and families. The Gwinnett Coalition continues to accomplish this mission by identifying needs and resources, setting priorities, planning solutions, focusing on results, and educating and motivating the community to action.

For over 26 years, the Gwinnet Coalition has been advocating and assisting local non-profits with resource and grant development, start-up education, monthly non-profit CEO roundtable discussions, opportunities for volunteer engagement, media exposure, grassroots leadership, and several other initiatives that enhance a non-profits’ ability to develop strategies and grow their agencies. We are a key stakeholder with Partnership Gwinnett, and have been recognized by the Gwinnett Chamber as the 2015 Hudgens Humanitarian Award recipient, an Impact Award Nominee for three years in a row, the Button Down Dash Nonprofit Awardee in 2015, and a 2012 Pinnacle Award recipient.

The Gwinnett Coalition, through its many collaborative efforts in the community, has created long-term, successful partnerships through its programs Gwinnett Helpline, the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute, Gwinnett Great Days of Service, and the Gwinnett Veterans Resource Center.
