Congratulations to Laurie McClain of Laurie L. McClain, CPA, PC, the 2008 Ambassador of the Year. Laurie was awarded this honor at the Chamber's Annual Dinner in January.
The Ambassador of the Year Award, recognizing the Chamber’s Volunteer Ambassador Council Member who best exemplifies outstanding and dedicated service to the Chamber, was given to Laurie McClain, Laurie L. McClain, CPA. Voted Ambassador of the Year by a landslide, Laurie was selected for always going the extra mile in connecting members with members and for being creative with marketing ideas for the Chamber.
This professional lady has lived in Gwinnett County since 1976, is a graduate of Parkview High School and graduated from Georgia State University with a concentration in Accounting. After a decade with a prestigious accounting firm, she opened her own practice in 1996. She also owns a firm that manages home-owner associations, and has served 5 years as Board President for her home-owner’s association.
Laurie McClain has served as a Volunteer-Ambassador for the past four years. You only have to watch Laurie to understand her commitment, dedication and passion to our Chamber and our members. She goes the extra mile in connecting members with members, and is very creative with marketing ideas. She answers both of her cell phones day and night, and does not recognize the words "CAN’T" and "NO."
