The Buford Artist Colony consists of storefronts spanning 13 acres, featuring art galleries and studios, specialty boutiques, and restaurants.

 

Seventeen artists, known as the Tannery Row Artist Colony, work and exhibit in the historic Tannery Row building. The Gwinnett Council for the Arts, Gwinnett’s official arts agency, promotes the work of artists in the area, assists other non-profit arts groups, and owns and administers the Jacqueline Casey Hudgens Center for the Arts and the Children’s Arts Museum.

 

The Hudgens Center features four spacious art galleries, the dramatic Al Weeks outdoor sculpture garden, and state-of-the-art education facilities, including one of the largest ceramics departments in the Southeast.

 

The Children’s Arts Museum encourages children to participate in “creative play” through art exhibits specifically for children, field trips, interactive exhibits, public hours and Saturday programming, and special events and festivals.
