Formerly known as the Small Business Academy, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneurial Development Certificate Program is an innovative cooperative program with the University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center that’s guides you through significant aspects to consider when planning a new business venture.

What’s in it for you?

Learn detailed, intensive, and practical information from leading business experts on the following areas of your business:

  • Legal Issues
  • Marketing Your Small Business
  • Accounting and Financial Analysis
  • Finding the Money for Your Small Business
  • Small Business Taxes
  • Writing a Business Plan

How it works

Tailored to your specific needs, you can take the two-hour classes individually, or complete the series of six classes to earn the Entrepreneurial Development Certificate. It is designed to bring leading professionals and emerging business owners together during a six-week course developed to prepare entrepreneurs with information resources and techniques to operate a business successfully. The curriculum incorporates marketing, finance, legal issues, accounting, taxes, and procurement and business plans. It concludes with a graduation and reception. Classes are offered separately and participants completing the series will be awarded a certificate.
