What inspired you to begin your business?
I needed to find a way to supplement my income from my regular job as a stagehand. There are unfortunately slow periods during the year where I don’t get many hours doing that type work.
Who was your first client?
An appliance store that was doing a grand opening. I performed magic and made balloon animals for the first time at that event.
Where did you begin your business?
It is a home-based business and will continue to be so.
What piece of advice would you tell your self when you started out?
The piece of advice I would give myself is don’t procrastinate, you should have started doing magic professionally years ago, you are better at it than you thought you would be!
What are you most proud of?
I have used all the “free” time during the pandemic to practice and become a better, more confidant performer. I am doing tricks now that I would have never tried months ago. Also, check out my YouTube channel featuring several videos of myself performing magic, Mick’s Tricks.
