How to Become a Chamber Ambassador
The Gwinnett Chamber corps of volunteer leaders provides members with an opportunity to make valuable business contacts, publicize their respective companies and receive added value for their membership investment through volunteer activities.
You MUST be an active Chamber member for at least one year, in good standing financially and be nominated by either a current Ambassador or a Gwinnett Chamber staff member.

Your Commitment
Ambassadors work on a rotating basis to assist with a variety of events, including assistance with registration & greeting of guests at Chamber functions.
Events and functions include but are not limited to:
- Member Orientation (4th Tuesday every month)
- Assist with registration and greeting of guests
- Facilitate break-out session with your assigned group
- Follow-up calls at the 3-month and 9-month mark with your assigned members
- Set-up and clean-up
- Gwinnettworking Events (Every Thursday and Friday). Ambassadors facilitate/co-facilitate the following:
- 2-minute and 7-minute sponsors
- Elevator introductions
- Lead passing/Lead count
- Door prizes
- Prospective member/Guest Q&A
- Business After Hours (monthly). Ambassadors assist Chamber staff with the following:
- Registration Table
- Drink tickets and business cards
- Door prizes
- Prospective member/Guest Q&A
- Ribbon Cuttings/Grand openings
- Golf Events (twice annually). Ambassadors assist Chamber staff with the following:
- Set-up/Clean-up
- Driving hole sponsors to their display location and picking them up at the end of the day
- Witnessing hole-in-one contests
- Quarterly Ambassador meetings
STEP 1
Attend Chamber Events
The more you know about the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the better an Ambassador you will be. We ask that, over the next 60 days, you attend the following events to better familiarize yourself with the Chamber. Dates are subject to change for monthly events, please check online calendar for exact times, dates and locations. PLEASE KEEP A RECORD of your attendance. You’ll be asked to provide details on the application form.
Member Orientation
- Typically held the fourth Tuesday of each month
- 11:30 – 1:00 p.m.
- Gwinnett Chamber John D. Stephens Education Room
- No cost
On Topic (formerly General Membership Meeting)

- $45.00 fee for Chamber members (includes luncheon)
Gwinnettworking
- Held every Thursday 7:30 – 9:00 am and Friday 9:00 – 10:30 am
- Gwinnett Chamber John D. Stephens Education Room
- No cost
Business After Hours

- Typically the third Thursday of each month
- 5:00 – 7:00 pm
- Location changes each month based on sponsor
- No cost
